Al Salam Bank has announced that its Shari’a Audit Department has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification for the second time in a row, awarded by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), an entity officially accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). This achievement marks Al Salam Bank as the first Islamic Bank in Bahrain’s banking sector to receive such a prestigious international certification, reaffirming its commitment to global quality management standards.
This milestone underscores the relentless efforts of the Shari’a Audit Department in implementing the highest professional standards, in alignment with the Bank’s corporate identity, which reflects the principle that ” We are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence across all fronts”. The team’s dedication and diligence have been instrumental in securing this international recognition, reflecting the Bank’s continuous pursuit of enhancing its audit operations in accordance with best global practices.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is among the world’s most renowned standards for quality management systems, outlining the fundamental principles required to improve institutional performance and reinforce quality control by monitoring and measuring operational processes. This certification also ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, further strengthening the confidence of all stakeholders in the efficiency and quality of the Bank’s operations.
